A Historic Month
On June 24, 2022, the devastating threat of overturning Roe v. Wade became a reality as the Supreme Court issued its ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This is a major step backwards in our progress for women’s equality. When I heard the news, there was an immediate reaction around me with people looking at their phones, then at each other with faces of hopelessness. However, people came together in solidarity to rise up for the cause and protest in the streets to show that this decision will not stand. I was there as thousands of people came together with a great presence and women all around felt united. It was a great feeling to see so many people together fighting for the same cause.

There are also ways such as donating to an abortion fund. You can find specific state ones here or you can donate to the nonprofit Planned Parenthood here.
